"Bird-watching" tourists and business travelers alike enjoy this "beautiful high-rise" where "amazing new renovations" have resulted in "spacious" rooms, "splurge-worthy" "Zen bungalows", an "über-cool bar" and a "to-die-for" Golden Door Spa, along with a "more Miami feel to the lobby"; though "dinner choices are limited" and the "golf course is miles away", most guests are content to take a "delightful walk through mangroves to the great beach" aided by a "friendly staff."

We loved the happy hour on Friday afternoon. The walk to the beach on boardwalk.
Everything was grea, no complaints.

This hotel met all of our expectations and more. The walk to the beach through the mangroves was especially nice and they had towels and beach chairs ready for our use. The room was large and the bathroom was very nice with a separate tub and walk in shower. All rooms have a beautiful view of the gulf.

Nice beach available by a walk through pretty mangrove forest.
Gratuity (18%) added to everything. Many "additional" charges.

Nice resort, currently under remodeling. Staff not always trained to the level that is being charged (ex: person giving facial in spa answered cell phone in middle of facial, people constantly in and out of the room) and there are additional charges for more things than I am used to from other resorts that bill themselves as luxury (ex: fax delivery charge, charges for receiving packages, /day/person "resort" charge on top of everything else). In 4 days no person cleaning or turning down the room noticed that we were missing the "do not disturb" hanging tag. I could go on. Final impression: nice setting, overpriced for what they think of themselves. read more
