Both lobby & rooms are very attractive. The concierge is quite knowledgeable.
...found a couple small items under the bed.

This hotel is a favorite in Montreal. My husband and I love it for its attractive and luxurious rooms, Vieux Montreal location, and expansive Continental breakfast. The rooftop "La Terrasse" resto/bar has fine views of the river and basilica, and will happily supply your nightly complimentary wine (with coupon). This was our third visit, first time with children. We look forward to the next. read more

Garabage pick up Tuesday morning very noisy for the rooms facing the alley

I would recommend this hotel. A gem in Old Montreal. Friendly staff, great location and beautiful rooms.

The bed was terrific.
Many of the staff seemed untrained/confused and not very helpful.

A number of very good characteristics but staff service really needs to be improved. I've had more skilled front desk people at many a college dorm.

Unique boutique hotel in charming section of Old Montreal. Extremely European in flavor, excellent service, excellent food.
Wedding underway in main conference space was a little loud.

The Hotel Nelligan is one of the finest hotels in North America. The interior spaces are a combination of urban loft and country inn. The staff are extremely unobtrusive, but service oriented in the best Montreal fashion.

This is a charming hotel right in the center of Old Montreal.
The hotel is leanly staffed. Don't expect full service and don't expect things to happen quickly.

The hotel is lovely. It's fine. It's not amazing, but, for the price, it was what I expected. When we arrived, the phone in our room didn't work. The concierge was working on getting us a reservation at a popular local restaurant. We lost out on the reservation because our phone wasn't working. It was, however, resolved fairly quickly. On the second morning of our stay, we discovered that housekeeping removed our shampoo and other partially used toiletries and did not replace them. The front desk brought up new ones but it took almost a half an hour. That being said, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel concierge was particularly helpful and was able to get us reservations at two restaurants we had not been able to get into on our own. read more
