Once the renovation is complete it will be a dandy.
We checked in about 2 pm and headed out for lunch - the hotel staff entered our room while we were gone for no apparent reason. (we left lights on).

This was a older hotel with lots of charm and personality!
Paid parking across the street, location, nothing was within walking distance.
If I ever went to New Haven would stay here again. The staff was friendly. Remodel was going on, would like to see the final touches. The Starbucks coffee was served in the Lobby in the am was nice.

Small TV. No continental breakfast. Gym lights turn out while exercising. Hazardous!
It was simply the poorest hotel I've stayed at in recent years.

Clean, and fairly spacious room with all the expected amenities.
There was a milk carton and the housekeeping tip left over in my room by previous visitor when I checked in
Nice, clean hotel in a convenient location.

Lots of new renovations - not enough however.
Beds were lumpy and uncomfortable.
It became pricey because you had to pay $18.30 to park in the lot across the street. There was no fridge in room and there was very small 19 inch TV.

There was no toaster available for continental breakfast, and pastries were cold, otherwise nice breakfast.

The room is very clean and spacious, and the hotel is next to Yale campus, so it¿s very convenience for visiting parents.

Decent old world hotel, nice decorations in the lobby and hallway.
Somewhat out-of-date furniture and in-unit fixtures.
We arrived around 10 pm and the front desk staff quickly gave us a room with queen bed. We came in, it was large and comfortable, everything seemed okay except for the fixtures are a bit old - it's an old hotel. The shower didn't work well but we survived it. When we went to bed, we found there's noise right beside the room, probably some steam machine. We called the front desk and waited for a few minute. Nobody replied. My wife called again and they said we can change a room. My wife went down to get the key, we changed the room. The shower in that room is much better, and it's very quiet. We had a good sleep. The lobby of the hotel is nicely decorated, really old world style. The staffs seemed friendly - though we were given a bad room for the 1st time, which they could have given us a good one since there were a lot of rooms available apparently. read more

Great value.
Breakfast was expensive.
I will definitely stay at there when I am in New Haven. Overall a very positive experience.
