The entire staff was very friendly and there were no screw ups.
Limited choice of eateries within walking distance and no hotel mini-store.
I would certainly stay in this facility or sister institution. The accommodations were as expected. The rooms were nice sized and the beds comfortable. I love the towel warmers.

Size of room and swimming pool.
Location is in gates head, not Newcastle.
Spacious well-equipped rooms (particularly in comparison with London hotels) friendly staff, and great exercise facilities.

Excellent Service - friendly staff.
Atmosphere more businesslike than leisure like.
Amenities, room size, etc. equivalent to 3-star hotel in Asia or Las Vegas. Atmosphere really feels more like a hotel that caters to business people than to leisure travelers. Service and friendliness of the staff were superb -- better than some 4-star hotels I've stayed at.

The hotel was modern and up to date. Very spacious with a bed and fold out sofa bed.
The hotel is not near to the main attractions of the city. Must take a bus or taxi.
The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Staff was very friendly. Room was up to date, including the bathroom which is hard to come by in England. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance. The main attractions of Newcastle are 20 minutes away by bus, which can be difficult to determine which bus to take and the fare is based on zone pricing. Overall, the only problem was the distance to and from the hotel to the center of the city, it was very good otherwise. read more

The junior staff were particularly helpful, specially in the restaurant.
I reported a fault on my TV two days into a four day stay and it was never fixed.
Located a few miles from Newcastle and Gates head centers, this hotel is a conveniently placed, just beside the main road from north and south. There is a leisure pool (not designed for serious swimming) with an integrated spa bath, and also a sauna & steam room. The restaurant has a slight problem with its image - the food is excellent and the mood lighting is good but the muzak! Not conducive to relaxed dining in the evening at all - more in keeping with a nightclub, both in style and volume! I drew the manager's attention to this but he responded by saying that senior managers (head office?) had 'chosen' the muzak in order to create a 'funky' mood! read more

Very courteous staff, clean, spacious rooms.
Outside the perimeter of the city center, no internet access in rooms.
Overall, it was a good value and a comfortable hotel. Next time that I'm in New castle I will opt to stay in the downtown area and will choose a hotel within these confines.

The large bathroom.
The bed was too soft & you could hear the traffic.

Easy to reach by car. Spacious room. Family suite.
Had to inquire for 3 or 4 times to get linen for child bed.
