Nh Firenze

Hotel was at best a 3 star hotel. Decor was beautiful. Location was a bit of a walk from center of Florence. Air conditioning was horrible and did not work at all (many other reviewers have mentioned this as well). We upgraded our room to their best room on the top level with a terrace but even there the air conditioning did not work. I had many, many mosquito bites and could hear them buzzing near my ears all night long. I couldn't even get under my blanket to avoid the mosquitoes because it was too hot under the covers. This wouldn't have been a problem if the air conditioning worked to keep the room cool but since it did not work and I could not get under the covers, I ended up just itching all night long, hearing the mosquitoes buzzing, and waking up with half a dozen to a dozen mosquito bites each morning we were there. As if that weren't bad enough, there is an nightclub that plays music until 4 am and can be heard loudly even on the top level. Furthermore, there is a park in front of the hotel where people who care only about themselves and don't consider anyone else blast music louder than I've ever heard from midnight until around 6am. The staff, the hotel and the buffet breakfast that was included was excellent. The room was spacious and the bathroom facilities were great.

The rooms are disgusting; wall paper is pealing off, rooms smelled of smoke, safe was broken, they openly advertise that for extra Euro you can get a nicer room, which is strange. Overall, this is not what I expected.

There were many things that did not work in the room.

The hotel was new, fresh and the room was clean and very modern.

Friendly staff, the hotel is not too far from historic center, there are nice room, and good restaurant.
