The price was good.
The bathroom is old, the claw foot tube faucet leaked all night long.
This hotel is off the beaten path and likes to call itself a boutique hotel, but it is only a historical hotel, and only the building is old. My faucet for the bathroom claw foot tub leaked running stream all night long for both nights. Housekeeping did not fix this problem, and only after I contacted the front desk were they able to turn it off, until the next time I used it. The bathroom was not that clean and lots of the wallpaper was peeling. read more

Price.
Lack of amenities, no shampoo! Waiting for the truck. Really.
Well located for my purposes and the price was reasonable. Probably would not stay there again unless I was really looking for a low price.

The staff was friendly.
Poor maintenance - door lock did not work. Housekeeping left room unlocked after cleaning.

Very close to Hemisfair Park.
Parking lot under construction, although where we parked was only 2 blocks away.
Nice, recently renovated. comfortable beds. A/C not as efficient as it could be, but was OK.

Best description: don't judge by what you see outside, look inside it. We were pleasantly surprise by the rooms, beds, bath, toiletries breakfast.
Does not look great from the outside.
GREAT LOCATION FOR THE RIVERWALK, clean, great rooms with all toiletries supplied. Breakfast was more than just continental as they said. Friendly staff- all for a really great price, will go back there for sure.

Very close to attractions.
No pool and Balcony overlooked a parking lot and was not private.
Overall a nice place. Parking can be an issue if you get there late in the evening. One of the older hotels in San Antonio so the rooms were somewhat smaller than typical hotels. Front lobby is small but neat. They have internet access and continental breakfast with limited assortments. Did not like them not having a pool or hot tub. Would have been nice after walking all over downtown during the day. Overall I think the hotel was a good value. read more

No parking, faulty water lines in bath, trouble with the cable/tv.
There was no parking whatsoever. The personal hygiene supplies were the most economical ones. The glasses in the room were used and not washed or replaced, simply placed back. Throughout the stay, the laundry cart remained in front of the door of the hotel room.

The room was charming and clean.
Parking. Also, the waffle maker was dirty.
A boutique hotel located within walking distance of La Villita and the Riverwalk. Friendly staff and clean rooms.
