Good location met all our expectations.
Charged $12.95 for internet we did not use, want or need.
This hotel met all our needs the staff is friendly and helpful and the location was great. The only complaint is a charge for the internet in the room. We were not told about it when we checked in and since we had no computer and no use for this service.

It's close to Central Park and the Natural History Museum.
It wasn't as clean as I'd of liked.
The location is pretty good. The room we stayed in was very small. (But I suppose that may be expected. The hotel wasn't as clean as I'd like, but it wasn't bad either.

Awesome design, location and size of room was good.
The upper west side is the perfect location to stay in NYC. The hotel staff was friendly and attentive. The room was well sized, with a great king size bed. The window looked into a brick atrium which was kind of a let down until I appreciated how quiet it was! Not that often can you get a quiet sleep in NYC. The highlight is the casual rooftop deck. Perfect to grab some lunch and eat on the roof. No one bothers you and it's a nice place to get some work done. read more

Absolutely loved the clean white linens and location.
Size of room although not a big deal. It's in Manhattan, right off Broadway for goodness sakes. Too many other perks to dwell on the size!
Loved the location of this hotel, especially for the price. Lived in Manhattan. Years ago and still live in the NY area. My husband and I travel quite a bit and always. Get 4 stars or more. This was definitely a bargain and under rated!

I liked the location and the staff the was OK but could use a better bed.
The parking

Attractive; aroma candles burning at night in public.
Limited
TV chanels, no instruction hotel amenities.
Attractively decorated hotel in upper west side. Appears popular with international clients. Conviently located to public transportation. Clean and eco-conscious with decision left to guest regarding towel and sheet changing. Mini bar very sensitive to investigation. Attempted charges to me and other guests at checkout tho denials were honored. Bathroom sink drain did not work despite maintence intervention. Apparently it was installed improperly. Burnt light bulb replaced promptly. Cosmetic issues with stain on carpet [tho carpet felt recently cleaned] and slightly dented window woodwork. read more

The location, comfort, amenities it offered and reduced to half price. It was nice, comfortable low key, not extravagant.
The unnecessary overpriced mini bar took up space, no bathtub. The room was 220 square feet, very small. Internet was expensive, should have been free.
The hotel was everything I hoped it would be and more. It had reduced it's rates and we were able to get a room with a king bed for a night. The hotel was quaint and comfortable without being extravagant. I did not like places that are gaudy, where someone was always fussing over you, looking for a tip. However I want a nice safe location that I could enjoy spending time in. I preferred to be left alone in comfort, and had someone available to answer questions if/when I needed them. I also wanted to be in close proximity to shops and food, the subway and the history museum. I was not disappointed. The location was perfect for my needs. This hotel had comfortable beds and was very clean. Plenty of clean towels daily, lots of pillows and a goose down comforter. The flat screen TV hung on the wall in front of the bed. No tub, but the shower was nice. There was limited space for your belongings, but for 2 people for 4 days, it was fine. (The larger rooms had tubs and showers.) The room was small, the bed, desk, and nightstands took up most of the space. However for Manhattan, we were more than pleased with everything. I was almost afraid to write about how great this place was! I was afraid word would get around, and the hotel would become popular to the point of being booked and too expensive when I wanted to use it again. read more
