The hotel was very clean with a friendly staff and good breakfast.
The pool was not very warm for a heated pool.
I was very pleased with the Pacific Inn and if I ever find myself back in Santa Cruz, I would definitely stay here again. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Easy, quick continental breakfast.

It was close to the beech.
The hotel was in a great location so I jumped on the great rate. When we checked in the first room had not been cleaned. The second room we were given had someone else's laptop and alcohol in it. The third room was the charm.

The value we received matched the price we paid. And the set up of the pool was awesome.
The hot tub in the pool area was very dirty and there was not any kind of morning amenities.
The service was friendly and personable as well as the room and grounds were clean and kept up. The way the pool is set up, enclosed by the building itself but open to the sky, was not only wonderful, but I did not see any others like it. It was nice to have the privacy and still have the open air, day or night. Our stay was wonderful even if it was too short.

The room was huge and the bed was comfortable.
The cable went out periodically and there were screaming kids in the hallway.
The hotel was better than expected although there were some weirdoes just hanging around outside all day-evening. The room was great and the complementary breakfast (bagel and cream cheese) was a good added service. There were a lot of yelling kids in the hallway, but I can’t blame the hotel for that, just the parents.

Booked a non-smoking room and was given a smoking room.
Arrived at hotel at 2:15pm, because check in starts at 2pm. Was told that my room wasn't ready, and it wouldn't be ready until after 4pm. Hotel staff wasn't apologetic at all. Came back after 4pm, and was told that they had no more nonsmoking rooms and would have to have a smoking room instead. Again, no apology! Pool was dirty and bad! Room was cramped and dingy!
