Friendly staff, easy check-in, nice restaurant, minerals.
Beacon bar needs complete overhaul.
Good hotel within easy walking distance to Front Street restaurants and shops. Friendly service. Much of the hotel could use a renovation or upgrade, especially the Beacon Bar where the view is spectacular but the room itself is dirty and in serious need of a good cleaning and upgrade.

It was nice updated but small rooms and small bathrooms.
You could not close the door in bathroom without standing over the toilet; it was so small.
Front desk staff was young and somewhat rude. I think they were trying to act high class and did not pull it off. The appointments of the room were nice but it was very small and cramped. It doesn't matter how nice things are if it's too small. The bathroom was seriously too small and you had to stand over the toilet to brush your teeth or close the door.

Location was fantastic. short distance from the heart of front street food and shops.
Beds are terrible, terrible, terrible. bathrooms look nice but the water temps are either scalding or cold. be prepared to jump in and out.
Overall a good hotel in a fantastic spot. not as special as ads and descriptions make it seem, but attractive and clean non the less. watch out for the tricky water temps, near scalding to ice cold, but no in between. check you bed when you get in because ours was terrible.

I loved the location. Right in downtown Traverse City.
The rooms were too small and they need to add outlets for laptop connections. For the size of this room it was very overpriced.
The location is great. It is just steps away for the activity of the town and a block away from the beach. Speaking on just my room, it was the smallest room I've stayed in and ackward to move around in. Unfortunately, I had to do some work and finding an outlet for not just my laptop but also our cell phones was very inconvenient.

Great location, nice comfortable space.
They charged me double and it took some trouble to get half my money back.
Great location, comfy and stylish rooms. Staff was nice, but messed some of my billing up and it was a little trouble getting it right. Food and pool were good.

Excellent location- close to downtown and beach; room service available; plenty of parking.
Misleading adverstising, as some things are renovated, many are not (bathroom, beds, pillows).
A little disappointed with by the expectation that everything was newly renovated with new beds. Our bed was soft and pillows thin, but new duvets were nice. Bathroom also in need of some renovating. Overall, the location was excellent, service good, and room quite workable and comfortable. Definitely take in the sunset from the top floor lounge- one of the highlights of our trip to Traverse City. read more

Extremely clean and detailed. The staff also did the sheets in my daughter's playpen!
We loved everything.
The hotel met our expectations and went above service. The environment was relaxing and friendly.

The location was excellent!
For 3 stars the room was extremely small, and the bathroom not very nice.
The location of the Park Place Hotel was in walking distance to everything in Traverse City. The actual room was very small (little room to walk). The bathroom was so small it was hard to shut the door, and it was not as up to date or clean as i expected for paying that much. For less money I would stay there again, but rating it a 3 star is a little stretch.

It was very quiet and the restaurant was excellent.
It was very quaint and charming, the hotel is redoing their rooms. We were in the older section that had not been redone yet but was still very nice. The location was right downtown and if you are not a beach person it was great. For families wanting to be on the water, I would suggest a different location.

They found us a room with two queens when there wasn't one available.
They charged for the use of a crib.
Great location in downtown Traverse City walk to everything. Pretty lobby interior and the rooms were newly and well decorated.
