Fantastic Inexpensive spot for a weekend getaway!
Went up for a concert. Room was really clean and cute pine walls! Clean, had microwave, coffee, iron, fridge, etc. would stay again!

The room we got had a separate bedroom and that was nice for our situation.
I expected no better than a motel 6, however, upon arrival the 2 beds included a seperate bedroom with 2 TV, a microwave, refrigerator, and spacious bathroom. We enjoyed our stay and was delighted that it was much better than a "motel 6"---but still an economy room...thanks we will stay there again.

Rooms had wood paneling that was sort of charming.
Bathroom in poor condition and pool filled in with grass.
Definitely a budget hotel-the rooms were clean and rudimentary but I would have expected to pay a little less considering the condition of the bathroom. Definitely not spa in room as advertised-more like a shower you could sit down in!

Conveniently located, and the beds were reasonably comfortable.
The bed sheets had holes in them, the toilet was not firmly attached, and phone had a short in it.

The amenities were unexpectedly good for the price.
The bathrooms seemed old.
This hotel is set in the hopping area of south lake Tahoe, but in a quiet corner. It is fully equipped with everything you could want in a room. The bed was very comfortable. The price is excellent for the amenities you get when you stay at Pinewood.

Sweet, comfortable, romantic.
Nothing.
The hotel is really sweet. I liked it, liked the stay. Was surprised by the goodness and the facilities.

The bed was comfortable for my partner and me.
The lady working the front desk acted like it was a bother that we checked in so early in the morning.
The hotel was decent enough for people on a budget, but wanting to get away for a night or two. It has all of basic amenities and a nearby location for all major attractions. Would likely stay there again.

The price.
The heater didn't work, room/outside was 27'F and not extra blankets.
Don't stay there. The 15 year old boy that checks us in was friendly but the room had one dim lamp and no working heater. The weather this time of year starts to get cold; the outside temperature and consequently the room temperature was 27'F and there were not extra blankets provided. I we had not packed blankets in our car we would have frozen to death.

The air conditioner worked. There were colorful silk flowers in a vase.
Pillows need to be replaced.
The rooms are very small with a large king size bed that the sheets don’t fit, in fact the top sheet didn’t even cover the whole bed. The refrigerator was on a 3 legged wobble table. There was no clock, no wake up service. The staff provided a clock on insistence however the electricity went off from 12:34 to 4:20 am. Had to use cell phone alarm with a flashlight to set it to get up for a race at 60:00 am. The bathroom linoleum floor badly needs replacing. The towels are like motel 6, very thin. The pillows were so flat you thought they had been run over by an asphalt roller. Could not get the staff to assist for the drunken loud party next door at 2 am on 1 night. read more
