Destination image All of Warsaw can be seen from Poland's tallest building, the Palace of Culture and Science. Warsaw has many impressive art galleries, such as the Centre for Contemporary Art. Warsaw's size makes it easy to see on foot, but taxis, trams and trains are available for longer jaunts. Ballroom The Royal Castle, all but destroyed during WWII, was rebuilt as a tribute to Polish history and culture. Old Town's quaint, cobbled streets are lined with small art galleries, cafis and shops. Zlote Tarasy (Golden Terrace), with 200+ stores, restaurants and clubs, is a few steps from the hotel. The Royal Route walking tour through almost half the city gives glimpses of the past, present and future. InterContinental Warsaw is one of the city's tallest and most distinctive skyscrapers. The show kitchen in Frida recalls the sounds and aromas of artist Frida Kahlo's home, where she entertained regularly. The hotel's Downtown Restaurant is often credited as having the best Sunday brunch in Warsaw. The breakfast buffet in Downtown Restaurant is a feast of international and typical Polish foods. When we were checking in, the hotel staff asked for a credit card to pay for our stay. When I informed them that I had booked through Priceline.com and that the room was already prepaid, they disagreed and insisted that we hadn't and that the credit card was for guaranteeing the room only. Several staff members tried to assist, but their answer was the same: we had to pay for the room. At the end, we waited while they call reservation, and only then were they able to confirm that the room had in fact been prepaid. Their lack of knowledge of Priceline did not bother us. It was their attitude - it was downright condescending. We felt as though they were silently accusing us of trying to get the room stay for free. It was definitely not five-star service, and a disappointment as no matter how nice the room, it didn't make up for our initial impression of the hotel staff. read more

Great location, very nice lobby and guest bathrooms.
Cleanliness of some of the gym facilities and had to wait long for amenities brought to the room.

Great location and room was very comfortable.

Buffet breakfasts, location.
High cost of massage, internet and other services.

Good location, safe clean. On the downside the cost of internet, massage and other services is absurdly high. No reason these services can not be provided at a reasonable cost to the business traveler.

Cool rooms. Nice linens, beds, and bathroom.
$35 a day for internet access? Got to be kidding.

Very nice hotel. Solid 4-stars, nothing to deserve 5 stars. Crummy old TV with only a couple English channels. Hotel bar was in dungeon-like room on the first floor with no view. No free airport shuttle.

Cell phone calls on hotel phones more expensive.

Nice 5 star hotel and clean and parking
