Location was pefect.
Overpriced and not very clean.
This hotel was not a very good place to stay except for the location. Upon arriving to the hotel, we checked in with no problems and drove to our room. It's called a hotel, but really it's a converted motel. You park in front of your room. We stayed on the second floor, and had to walk into a common area that had stairs and an ice machine. The smell in this area was unbearable--couldn't even identify it. It was a stale, moldy aroma unlike anything I have smelled before. The molding along the floor was missing, and you could clearly see mold growing all along the wall where it meets the flooring. We almost walked out at that point. But, we continued to our room on the second floor and were pleased with it. The room itself was clean and had no bad odors like the entranceway. We noticed that this room had a connecting door with the next room. No big deal until someone checked in a bit later and turned the TV on. It was like their TV was in our room---there was absolutely no insulation in the connecting door. We arrived back at the hotel/motel around 2 AM and had a restful nights sleep with no noises at all during the night. Upon taking showers in the morning, there was no hot water. It was lukewarm at best even on the full-hot setting. Also, the vanity had cigarette burns in it, and the shower surround had cracks and missing fiberglass in several places. The shower also had no pressure at all--it barely sprayed 6 inches out of the showerhead. So, I would recommend staying at the Holiday Inn Express Tiffin or the Hampton Inn Tiffin if you have a choice. I did not have any choice as the other two hotels were fully booked for my weekend. read more

Excellent breakfast.
The room was typical. There were laundry facilities on site. Breakfast was included and made to order! It was excellent!

The breakfast was the only good thing.
Rooms are shabby, staff not competent.
The hotel is very old and shabby; the staff checking in at night was very incompetent.

Convenient location, free breakfast.
Phones not turned on, overpriced for tiny room.
Overall good experience, but I would not pay full price for this place. The room was pretty tiny. One annoyance - instead of taking a credit card or deposit at check in, the staff simply failed to turn on the phones for us at all. Kind of inconvenient when people were trying to reach us in a place where cell phones weren't an option. they later told us they needed a $20 deposit for the phones. Glad we didn't have an emergency or anything. read more
