Nice cafe with delicious food and friendly service; close to the water.
Expensive for its quality and surroundings (only game in town); sometimes unhelpful service. Few vegetarian options.
Recently redone, this is the undoubted leader for large-hotel accommodations in Belize city (there are some more boutique but nice-looking hotels, as well as the large Princess resort and casino). It's close to the water and a water taxi, but the area is characterized as dodgy (as is, unfortunately, most of the city). There are a few restaurants with few or no vegetarian options, two swimming pools, a very nice fitness center, and a totally adequate (and free-for-basic-use) business center. The views from the Villa building are lame. read more

Lots of amenities, everything you need, from food to exercise equipment, to computer room - is there!
One of the doors to the lobby was extremely difficult to open, quite a pain when your hands are full.
Hotel is loaded with amenities and is very easy to be a home away from home. Value is decent and I would stay there again.

The first room was fine water view, clean, in main building.
Second stay room in annex building, not like the first room.
From what I saw in Belize city, this was the best place to stay for non budget tourists. It is the nicest place in the neighborhood. The staff was friendly and the service mostly good. One dining mishap. Comparable to a Holiday Inn or Sheraton in the States. Not close to a Hilton or Hyatt. A bit pricey but the nicest place in town. In a town of few options.

The staff.
Supported and recommended taxis that charged 4 to 5 times the local going rate for same service and vehicle type.
Room and furnishings were of poor quality with limited security. The bath flooded with each use of the shower or tube. Food and drink over priced compared to local restaurants.

Friendly atmosphere and staff, helpful with information.
Limited restaurant selections.
The Coning by Inn is a great, safe, low priced place to stay. No, it's not glitz and glam. It's comfy, friendly, basic, clean sheets and no bugs. It's also an easy walk to the swing bridge and the tourist village. Try breakfast at a local street vendor, great and cheap!
