The bed/linens were high quality.
They could not give me a key, which kept me trapped in my room.
The lack of a key was awful, the bathtub stopper didn't work, my room service breakfast arrived late, and there was no coffee cup. They booked me for two breakfasts, so I had to stop at the desk to make sure the charge was corrected.

The bed, and the bathroom.
We needed an earlier breakfast at 6 a.m. not 6:45.

Convenient location, comfortable beds.
It took two phone calls and over an hour to get a remote control for TV sent to room. Sound proofing poor.
Convenient location, pleasant staff. Excellent for the business traveler.

Proximity to New York City.
Poor abysmal broadband - noisy hard to sleep.
High price for very few amenities. Doors slamming in the night. Thin wall construction exterior noise penetrated thin walls easily. If you wanted to access the internet you had to pay extra $10/day for DSL. Wireless was very poor connection and only available in the restaurant and lobby. Very nice staff though.

The room decor seemed a little odd.
Staff was polite, professional and attentive. Food and service in the restaurant was good, and moderately priced for a hotel. The Macaroni and Cheese is awesome! Didn't care for the decor; not sure where they were going with that.

Location.
Great hotel, awesome location. It was clean with friendly staff, and the perfect distance from the city with all the amenities one could need right there.

The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful when I had questions or requests.
Room service was loud during the afternoon and the phone was statice.
This is a great hotel from the soap and shampoo to the restaurant, and for a great price. I would
stay there again. The staff was excellent. The phone was statice, which was a little annoying. Overall, it was great stay.

Staff is very helpful.
Noise, cleanliness.
The room was very dirty - bathroom especially - and we had to ask for it to be cleaned again. The hotel has a lot of parties and the police were there while we were there on noise and other problems, rooms are also not clean in terms of rugs, walls etc.

Convenient and close to metro North for trip to Manhattan.
Hotel appeared tired and worn.
The hotel was a good value for the money. Hotel conveniently located 4 blocks walking distance to Metro North Commuter Rail for $6-8/30 min trip to/from Grand Central Station. Rooms were clean and well cared for, housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful. Desk staff was generally friendly and helpful, the evening crew more so than the days. Hotel has seen better days, the common area appeared well worn and tired, buckling floor in lobby, visibly worn carpeting. The pool, cool and refreshing after a long day walking through the city had comfortable zero gravity lounge chairs, but there was peeling paint floating debris in the pool. Overall I enjoyed my stay, the convenience and price worked well for my travel needs. read more
