Receptionist greeted me by name, secure parking.
Initially given key card to wrong room.
The Radisson - Parliament hill is a beautiful hotel with a friendly staff. The restaurant provided good food.

Close proximity to downtown; comfortable bed.
No tea making facilities or fridge in room; was charged for parking twice; dark, dreary decor; expensive restaurant; extremely noisy.
The hotel offered pretty basic amenities and the best thing about it was it's location. I was surprised to find that there was no fridge and that one was expected to use ice in a bucket to keep one's water or other drinks cold. On our first night we roamed around the hotel looking for ice (not what we felt like doing after a day's traveling) and duly filled our bucket and left our water bottle in it. By morning it had melted and we found there was a crack in the ice bucket that left a huge flood of melted ice all over the floor. read more

Decent price and convenient location.
Surprise about parking rate with cheaper parking across the street.
Almost on the edge of all of the sights and a block from the underground walkway. If you were going in winter it would be better to go a couple of blocks closer to parliment.

Nothing comes to mind.
It was very worn down.
Definitely not a 3-star Hotel. The second floor was under renovation after a fire, two out of three ice machine where not working, and this location doesn't have a pool.

Bed was comfortable.
Front desk staff just did not care to inform/apologize guests the elevator was broken - 10 flights up.
The sink in the bathroom was full of hair and toothpaste. Front desk staff were rude. Elevator was broken - if I didn't have my luggage in my 10th floor room already, I would have left.

The location is great and it is a nice safe property.
We had some minor plumming issues but no big deal.
I have stayed at this property and always an excellent value. The parking is $13.00 plus tax but so is any other hotel downtown or more. The capitol buildings are a short walk away as well as the downtown marketplace. The restaurant is pretty good for a hotel restaurant and the web access is nice for free in the lobby.
