Elegant, requests were completed promptly.
Bathroom was extremely small, no fridge/microwave.

The hotel was very elegant. We did not have much luggage so we opted to park our car ourselves. We were very surprised to find that there is a $5/night fee for parking whether or not you use the valet. This is very unusual for Scranton. The room was very spacious. However, the bathroom was less than adequate. I have closets larger than this bathroom.

The lobby is gorgeous.
I had called the hotel to request a certain room and the person I spoke to, was a bit rude.

A beautiful hotel for a fantastic deal.

Historic, well appointed furnishings.
Stink of cigar smoke in lobby and restaurant. Very bad.

Very attractive historic building. Marble in lobby and rooms. Tiffany glass ceiling in lobby. Lobby and restaurant reeked of smoke, especially cigar, coming from an open door into those areas from a bar. I would not consider eating there because of this unpleasantness. Sleep number beds in room were very uncomfortable and I don't want to take a long time to figure out how they work. Also suspect that they did not work properly. Whoever allows the smoke to get into the public areas is an idiot. Given a choice, would not stay there again. read more

The decor of an old train depot turned into a hotel. Very cool.
Please see review

We got to the hotel very late at night and the staff was great to get us into our room quickly. Rooms were clean and well kept. The two things I DIDN'T like were that they charged us $5 for parking and then when we went to park, we could barely find a spot because they had been taken by people parking for the surrounding bars. The second thing I didn't like was when we went to get our free breakfast in the morning, there wasn't any. They charge $10.95 per person for a buffet breakfast. It just left me asking if I had just paid $70 to sleep in a bed. Good hotel, but if I had known there were those "hidden" things I probably would've chosen something else. read more
