Ramada Limited Santa Cruz Water Street

My room was dirty, the person at the front desk was dressed in a T-shirt and flip flops and never got of his cell phone while he was checking me in. Everything about the hotel was outdated, the linens dirty, and even the tiny bathroom shampoo was 2/3 empty and had not been replaced.

I had requested a handicapped room. The only handicapped feature was a bar in the bath/shower, which was probably standard. The room was located as far as possible from any parking, including the handicap slots. The room was not vacuumed during my entire stay (3 days). We stayed two nights in Santa Cruz. The first night we came in late but with extra $ were still given a room w/2beds. It sure was a lot better than the much higher rated Inn at Passionating, we switched to the next night. especially considering the price we paid.

If you are looking for safety. No, and if you are looking for a continental breakfast, No - just toast and jam.

I would not stay here again. I found the rooms to be sketchy in terms of cleanliness. Old, indoor chairs were placed outside the rooms which looked very messy. All in all, it was not a good place to stay and I would not use them again.

From the very beginning, at checkin, we were a little dissapointed. We called ahead to ask for two cribs and they said no problem. We arrived at checkin and they charged an additional five dollars per crib which was not disclosed earlier. On top of the extra charge, the kids were tired and needed to sleep but we had to wait for them to bring the cribs to the room and set them up. This should have been done previously. After checkin, we parked and walked to our room passing a large can full of cigarettes and an old padded chair that was torn up, kind of trashy looking. There were a few of these "smoking stations" around the bottom floor of this motel(hotel?), gross. We "had" to keep our window closed to keep the cigarette smoke out of the room even though it was nice outside. We would have brought our own kids' playpens to save ten dollars, afterall, price is the reason why we stayed at such a low star hotel and this added twenty percent onto our stay. The hotel was perfect for what we needed. A place to sleep. We were out and about all day only to come back sleep, shower & leave. Not a resort but work perfectly for us.
