Red Roof Inn Cedar Rapids

This is an old hotel, but has been recently renovated. Once you get past the building's obvious age, the rooms were nice enough and very clean.

I was impressed that there was a card in each room from the manager, offering his personal cell phone number to contact if any disputes could not be resolved onsite! This is really a nice little hotel, although I just wish the rooms were more updated and insulated better to keep out more of the noise. Since the rooms are accessed from the outside, it is difficult not to be disturbed by outside noises and traffic. My room was a nonsmoking room but smelled of smoke and an odor that I couldn't figure out. It was very noisy that weekend I was there. I left early due to all this.

Basic, simple and nice.

The Hotel was excellent in many ways. I often come to this Hotel in Cedar Rapids. The only negative experience I had this time, was that I accidentally left 2 articles of clothing in the closet and when I called to see if I could get them back, the staff was not helpful at all. They told me that they were there and I did not feel they even really looked. I felt like I was just blown off and the housekeeper most likely stole these things. read more

The friendly staff and convenient location mixed with good service made our stay pleasurable.

It's always clean, attractive and offers a very nice continental breakfast. The outdoor pool in the summer is awesome.
