Front desk clerk was friendly.
We were sent to two occupied rooms before they put us in our room.

The hotel was comfortable enough for the price paid. The clerk gave us key access to two occupied rooms before finding us an empty room on the third try. This made us feel insecure in our room. We made sure we had the inside lock set so no one would walk in on us.

Filthy and stained carpeting.

My registrant when offered my reservation slip asked for my name. It was on the slip with all the information but she never looked at it. I was reminded not to forget to take the reservation slip with me when I registered.

Room smelled. Black mold in bathroom. Maid left door open to room all day.

Boy, does this make the Red Roof chain look bad. The first room they gave us smelled horrible. The second room was better, but it did have black mold in the bathroom. The maid left the front door open to our room the first night. When we got in around 9 PM, we found the door open. That was not very comforting to say the least. I was looking for a cheap hotel, and boy did we get it. Next time I will pay an extra $20 and get a three star hotel. If I could rank this place less than 1 star, I would. read more
