Erudite excursionists say this "superb" place "lives up to its name" since it's "like staying in an art gallery": installations (including "Chihuly glass") adorn "the rooms, lobby and restaurant, and there's a sculpture garden inside"; the "ideal location" in the Warehouse District and the on-site Creole seafooder, La Côte Brasserie, are further reasons why this chainster comes "highly recommended."

The friendliness of the staff was excellent.
I did not like the fact that you had no choice but to use the valet parking that cost $30 per day.

The hotel was beautiful, clean, comfortable. Room was huge. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

My husband and I, along with our two boys, stayed at the Renaissance for one night. It was a last minute trip so I needed a nice place to stay in New Orleans without spending a fortune. I bid on this room on Priceline and got a great deal. I called the hotel the day before to see if they could put us in a room with double beds. The girl at the front desk was so great. She immediately changed our room and told me that she was putting us in a bigger room so that we would have enough space with the boys. When we got to the hotel it was absolutely beautiful. Every staff member we met were so friendly. From the valet parking attendant to the front desk clerks. Our room was so clean and spacious. The beds were so comfortable we did not want to get up the next morning. I was really impressed with this hotel and would love to stay here again. read more

Easy check-in, rooms were spotless.
Parking was pricey, but well handled.

Close enough to the French quarter to be walking distance, but far enough away to sleep at night. A beautiful establishment.

Ambiance.
Parking cost, and lack of free internet.

Excellent hotel. Beautiful decor. Parking cost though high was on par with other hotels in the area. A free complimentary breakfast and free wireless internet would make this hotel unbeatable.
