Great location, view of downtown from the rooftop pool and
a few good rooms.
Rooms looking onto a central courtyard, some significantly larger than others.
The hotel is located in a great part of New Orleans, just a few short blocks to the river, and a 10-minute stroll to the French Quarter. It's clean and upscale, with a nice rooftop pool area and all the basic amenities you'd expect. That said, the rooms vary tremendously in size and appeal. Some have exposed brick, plenty of sunlight and a decent view outside, others are small, not particularly well-lit and facing the interior of the hotel. I happened to be staying in the latter room type, and was not as pleased. That said, I would recommend this hotel based on its location, cleanliness and affordability. read more

The Renaissance Arts Hotel is the best hotel in the City of New Orleans hands down. I loved the location, the atmosphere, and the overall love of the staff. The staff made my stay in New Orleans even better.

Location, quality of hotel facilities, restaurant.
Lack of handicapped accessories for room.
Despite the hotel's lack of preparedness for our handicapped guest (no shower seat within the hotel), the hotel enjoys a great location, well-appointed facilities, good restaurant, and helpful staff. All New Orleans hotels have at least one substantial shortcoming, I'm convinced. The Renaissance Arts came very close to having none.

It was beautiful and very comfortable beds, and the bathroom was wonderful.
The staff took way too long to respond to any request I made.
The lobby was a great place to chill and relax. Me and my 5 friends fit in the bathroom comfortably and the great 3 mirrors in the room help when you have nothing but girls in the room trying to get ready. The hotel was clean and check-in was a breeze, so was check out. I would recommend this to any one who has no car and wants to explore New Orleans. It was great walking distance from everything. I just wish when I called for more towels it did not take 2 hours for someone to come. Also the air conditioner was not in the best place, but the room was still a nice temperature. And Bourbon street and canal street is right around the corner. Lastly, if you want some good chocolate go to a place on N. Peter street and Decatur street called Southern Candy makers. read more

Friendly Staff, Location.
Terrible coffee (sour) in the morning.
The hotel is in a great location. It was easy for us to walk to most of our destinations. The staff was friendly and fun (go Bruce!). The atmosphere was relaxed, and the experience was great.
