The location to downtown, the room was spacious and very comfortable.
Paying for internet usage, the maid putting her envelope for a tip each night on our pillow.

Location was excellent for restaurants and shopping in Charleston. Concierge, desk attendant, and bell person were all friendly and helpful.
Roof top pool was well maintained and in a pleasant setting, but pool deck surface was very rough and hard on bare feet.

This was a wonderful place. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and our room, which had a balcony, was clean and attractive. There is a well equipped fitness center with HD TV and a nice view of the outdoor pool. A family with young children would do OK here, but this is really a hole for grownups.

Lovely hotel. One of the nicest I have stayed at in Charleston.
No wireless internet in the room. I was very surprised.

This is a great hotel. I actually prefer it to Charleston Place. The rooms are nice and I love the location. Other than the lack of wireless internet in the room (did have in the lobby). It was a great stay that exceeded my expectations.

Clean. Very nice comfortable room and bed.
We asked for coffee and they quite brewing after breakfast.

The Renaissance Charleston is very conveniently located with great access to Historic Charleston and the many fine restaurants. The hotel was comfortable and very clean - elegantly appointed. Bell service and front desk was wonderful. I was disappointed in the hotel restaurant/bar area.
