Got us a phone book. None in the room.
Internet set up.

Hotel was very nice. Very difficult to work internet. I'm used to just walking in and turning on laptop. To tired to even mess with. Need some TV information in a strange area. Did not have continental or any breakfast or newspaper for room.

Beautiful facilities very clean and new.
Too much management staff and not enough people doing the work.

Beautiful facility. Very clean. The only problem is the staff appears unsure of themselves. A lot of people running around in suits and not enough people who appear to be doing the actual work of running a hotel. We were billed incorrectly and were charged extra. At check-in the incorrect amount showed up but the people were unsure how to fix it and instead told us it was no big deal. Well, sure enough the extra charges were still on our bill when we were to check-out. Another employee did not know how to fix it and forwarded our problem to someone else who did understand it and straightened the matter out. Additionally, the first time we stayed there no one cleaned our room until 4pm and that is after we had to ask them to get it clean (the hotel was not busy at all). This time the cleaning lady knocked on our door loudly at 8:30 AM on a Saturday and woke us up! We went to get a beer at the bar to take back to the room and the bartender was unsure whether he could give us a glass or not? He finally did but did not seem to understand that we would prefer to drink beer from a glass rather than a bottle. It is a beautiful hotel and the staff tries to be very helpful and sincere. Most of them actually appear to be nervous about doing their jobs well. It is a new hotel, maybe they just need more training. I would still recommend this hotel because it is new and very beautifully decorated. read more

The newness, large room, clean and the location.
No free WiFi.

Upon arrival and to the room, very attractive contemporary appeal. Very clean, comfortable and very quiet. My husband and
I have told the folks we visited in Indianapolis to recommend this hotel. If there was free WiFi!, we would have given another star!

The decor was retro contemporary with bold colors but restful and comfortable at the same time.

The Renaissance Hotel (Marriott, totally non-smoking) was conveniently located to north side shopping and great restaurants. The decor is retro contemporary in bold reds, oranges, golds and greens, but still restful and welcoming. The lobby is beautiful and impressive without being overwhelming-very open and bright. The room was very quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. My husband and I were with our oldest daughter, but there were families with small children, as well as professionals staying over. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it for leisure and business travelers. read more

The beds were very comfortable and the staff treated us with respect.
The soda vending machine did not work on our floor.

This hotel far surpassed my expectations immediately upon arrival. The entire property said class when I entered and the staff treated me with so much respect I felt I was really special. Everyone I encountered was professional and friendly and knew how to treat their guests.

The beds were very comfortable!
Bathroom hadn't been swept.

It was a very nice hotel, but we were coming in for our anniversary and unfortunately the hotel was overrun with little league teams. However, I understand they have to book whoever needs a room. I did think the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was way overpriced. But the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I think that next time I would stay at the Hampton. It is about the same type of hotel, but you get a free breakfast. read more
