A "legend" among Downtown hotels, this "centrally located", recently "refurbished" "grande dame" "reeks of political movers and shakers" – not to mention "brides, blue bloods, blowhards" and quite a few curious tourists checking out the place New York's disgraced former governor Eliot Spitzer met his call girl; the "lovely common areas" and "suites with all the comforts of home" make "you feel rich", but dissenters, citing the "cranky staff" and "too many meetings and events", smell a "faded flower."

It was clean and well situated downtown with easy access to attractions.
Restaurants looked very nice but the bars and restaurants were at the top of the price scale.

Very nice hotel and I would absolutely return for a second time.
