Rooms need updating terribly. The Sheraton is remarkably better and so is the Residence Inn in this area. Spent less at both of those hotels and it they were much better than this hotel.

Very comfortable, with a wonderful location a short walk to Old Town and the harbor, or to the train into Washington.

Parking is $15 per day, but the only concern. The room was lovely, clean and very comfortable. we would definitely consider this hotel for a return trip!

Nice size rooms and comfortable beds.
If you were on the side by Duke St. the noise from the street was loud early in the morning.

Excellent, functional rooms and space.
Needs a Jacuzzi.
Overall, a super hotel with great service, reasonable rates and good location. I recommend it highly to anyone visiting Alexandria or the greater DC area.

It's all great. I loved Residence Inns. They have plenty of space for children and are great with breakfast and evening snacks.
No airport shuttle.
Loved it. Great hotel and area. Close to shops and Metro.

The availability of parking and the usefulness of computers in lobby with local area info.
The hotel staff was not very helpful at check in when asked about recommendations for eating and nightlife. They gave us wrong info.
The overall stay at the hotel was great. The size of the room far exceeded what we expected, and the kitchen area was great. The usefulness of the lobby computers with local info was great, but the hotel staff wasn't very helpful or friendly when asked for recommendations for dinning and nightlife. They gave us the wrong info. The location is good, close to public transportation and parking is available at hotel, just not close to nightlife so it requires a short walk or taxi ride. Also not close to late night eats after drinking, and hotel market was much overpriced. read more
