Location to airport and restaurants.
Parking facility long walk to lobby.

The hotel was a bit hard to find due to recent name change and literally no signage directing you to the appropriate parking facility. Very long walk carrying a bag from the garage to the lobby area.

Easy check-in and check-out.
Not a 4-star hotel.

The hotel shuttle was 40 minutes late picking me up at the airport from the time they said they would pick me up. Wasn't very happy with that since it was 12:45 am before I got to the room. The clerk was very friendly. Though he failed to follow up on some requests that I made. Definitely not a 4-star hotel. This is more like a 2.5 star.

Rooms were adequately furnished but tired, bartender was nice.
No services, no restaurant, major renovation under way.

This was a Sofitel property. The bartender said Sofitel had pulled their brand because the owners refused to renovate. It was re branded the Rosemonde. Now owners are undertaking the renovation and will re-brand again when complete. Room was okay but tired, bathroom is probably 15 years old. Restaurant was not open for breakfast or lunch. Room service was a nearby pizza parlor not kidding - but the food was OK. Business travelers have no time to joust with front desk clerks. My main complaint is that this was billed as a 4-star property - which it may have been a dozen years ago. read more

Lobby was upscale.
No/poor quality amenities, they don't use a flat sheet on bed only comforter, furniture looked like Grandma's, no safe, overpriced restaurant.

I wouldn't consider this a four star hotel. The rooms are hideous, felt like I was at my Grandma's house. Looked more like a Holiday inn then a French hotel. The lobby, however, was modern and upscale. No safe in room. Confirmed by the front desk, they do not use flat sheets, so you have only the comforter and the fitted sheet. This hotel is obviously cutting corners and it reflects poorly. read more

Had to wait 45 minutes for a shutle at O'Hare.
Construction being done on front entrance - no services avaialble for guest- i had to chase a taxi down on river road.

It is defintiely not a 4 star hotel. a good deal if you do not expect any service. clean rooms. they are in management transition and it shows - no one was in charge and things were falling thru the cracks.

The staff was excellent except for the housekeeper, overall very quiet.
The housekeeper knocked on the door at 8 am wanting to clean the room. Furniture needs to be refinished throughout the hotel, very worn!

The restaurant breakfast was a real treat and worth the additional expense, the lobby is impressive and the gift shop was really unique, the front desk staff was very helpful. It was very quiet and peaceful even though there was a large convention next door. The furniture was old but the room appeared very clean and the beds were really comfortable. Wish they had coffee in the room but the coffee in the restaurant was one of the best cups I have ever had! read more

Met my expectation. Clean reliable room for one night.
Parking is expensive and not convenient.

The hotel overall was fine. I was pleased with the value I received for the price. The only negative comment I have relates to the parking situation. At check in they said they would validate my parking ticket, at check out they charged me $18. The parking is not convenient and there is a long walk to the lobby and the rooms. Not good for a family.
