The location was perfect.
The room was a bit dated, but clean with really comfortable beds.
The best thing this hotel has going for it, is its proximity to UCLA. I would stay there again. It is a very family friendly hotel. It is clean, has parking (for one car), and has comfortable beds with plenty of space. I liked the size of the room--very large.

Convenient location.
Older appearance.
I recommend the Royal Palace Westwood. It is clean and spacious, with a nice kitchenette. The neighborhood seems safe and it has several restaurants and shops near it. The employees are friendly and helpful.

Spacious room, comfy beds, huge bathroom, quiet, clean, convenient location, helpful staff.
Staff not very outgoing, breakfast left much to be desired. Pillows tiny & flat.
We stayed at the Royal Palace Westwood overnight, and would do so again if we were in the area. The staff was willing to be helpful, but they weren't so over the top that they didn't let you go about your business. Parking was a little weird, but easy, and the location was convenient. It's walking distance to several restaurants and shops, as well as a drug store and grocery store. The room we had had 2 queen beds, a kitchenette (with 2 electric burners, a sink a microwave, a refrigerator and a table with 4 chairs. There were no dishes or anything, though, which seemed kind of weird, but we weren't expecting the kitchenette in the first place, so it didn't matter to us.), and a large bathroom with both a shower stall and a tub with jets. The room was quiet and clean. The hotel itself is older, but well maintained and very nice. The only 3 things I could think of to complain about was that the elevator was tiny, and very slow, the pillows were flat and had no shape, and the breakfast is only good if you like toast, cereal, bagels, apples, and bananas. But, the elevator works fine for getting your stuff upstairs and the stairs are more convenient anyway, you can always get more pillows from the desk or if you're like me, you bring your own, and who doesn't prefer to go out for breakfast instead of continental breakfast, anyway? So overall, it was an excellent stay at an even better price (base $93/night). read more
