San Juan Beach Hotel

The room was full of apparent mold everywhere. The bed sheets were pulley. The cups for drinking were sitting on sheets of toilet paper. When we turned the comforter back, it had mold on the underside, along with dirt. The chair in the room was very soiled along with the carpet. The widows were so grimy that you could not enjoy the "ocean view." and the sill of the window was totally green with mold. We left and would not stay there. read more

There were no drinking glasses provided in the room, my husband had to take his medication using the cap from his shaving cream can as a glass. There were no washcloths and only two towels. There was no protective cover between the sheet and mattress! There were only the "fancy" pillow shams on top of the bedspread to sleep on, no other pillows. One of the electrical outlet covers was missing with a gaping hole in the wall exposed. Do not stay here! read more

This hotel was grossly overrated. It was unappealing from the time we drove up to the door. The rooms were dirty. Draperies were molded in one room and lampshades were molded in another room. I am currently in the process of communicating the same information with the hotel manager.

Hotel had nice location on beach but neighborhood seemed to be unsafe. Rooms were average in size. Elevator was broken and we had to walk up 6 flights of stairs with luggage without assistance or wait to check in when elevator was fixed.

The hotel was easily found from the hotel, and the service was friendly. Over all it was a great experience. The room went far beyond our original expectation, beautiful, and spacious. The view from the room added to our pleasure of staying there.

The hotel is located in a great location, the view from the hotel room was superb (the ocean), the staff was very friendly and helpful. The building itself needs some care.

There were no hand towels or wash towels, the pool was a mess (steps), the elevator was slow {only one working) it was last inspected by the government in 2004 I will never go back.

This was by far the very worst hotel room I have ever stayed at in my entire life. This is not an exaggeration. The room was dirty, the carpets were filthy, the chairs and ottoman were stained, and above all, the nasty foul smelling musty odor in the room kept me awaken most of the night as I attempted to make it more tolerable by spraying air freshener. We stayed at the Marriot Courtyard in San Juan a week earlier. This hotel and the Marriot had the same star rating. The Marriot was a wonderful clean nice hotel. We were expecting the same experience in this hotel. We were sorely disappointed. I have stayed in hotels across the entire world and never have had such a terrible experience. Your star rating let me down. Thank you for reading and I am sure you will do something to rectify this problem so others won't have the same negative experience we had. read more

TV did not work, Wi-Fi did not work, shower did not work, toilet did not work, very old uncomfortable mattress, wobbly table as a desk, no electrical plugs in room, no iron in room, ice machine did not work, continental breakfast was a joke and they charged $8.00. I will never stay here again.

We were relieved that our stay was only a short one since we were traveling out of San Juan the next morning. We had to wait more than 15 minutes just to check in and the staff explained that they were under new management to explain the bare lobby and plastic hanging over the staircase. Our room showed evidence of some new furniture, but even so not all the light fixtures were working and some didn't even have bulbs in them. The bathroom was the worst part of the room, with water that would come to a stop during the shower and a hair dryer attached to the wall that had no cover, exposing bare wires which were a major fire hazard. Their "restaurant" consisted of a continental breakfast with cold cereals. There was no cook on the premises. read more
