Location.
Wonderful resort. It had all of the amenities that pleased the kids and I. Great location providing easy access to shops, the beach and restaurants.

Location near the beach.
Unfriendly, unprofessional staff. Terrible beds and horrific linens including bath towels and such.
I was very displeased with this hotel/resort. As a weekend out with my wife they put us into a two full bed room. After talking with three different staff members throughout the resort, they finally changed our room to a queen room despite being booked at 100 capacity. The beds were horrible. They would have only been fit for a 1-star hotel. The mattress was hard and extremely worn and the bed linens did not even cover the full mattress. The pillows were very worn and uncomfortable. The only positive aspect of the room was the water pressure in the shower. I would strongly advise a traveler against staying at the Bayside Inn at the Sandestin Gold and Beach Resort. The resort property was very nice and inviting, short of the lack of professionalism displayed by the staff. read more

I liked the location even though it wasn't located directly on the beach it was convenient to everything.
The hotel needs to updated.
I really enjoyed our stay. The hotels looks aren't very appealing but the staff was great and the tram service was excellent. It was conveniently located to Baytowne and alot of good restaurants.

Bayside Inn: was often very uncrowded so no crowds or excessive issues with other guests.
WiFi Surcharge of $10/day, excessive resort fees, badly in need of updating.
It is an older property and is in desperate need of a makeover. The furnishings, design, and appointments within the hotel are far outdated and it is very obvious from the first step in. Additionally a surcharge for Internet access in this day and age is ridiculous. Even with that having been said, there were only a couple of folks within our group who could even pickup the fee-based WiFi signal within the hotel. I have stayed at many other properties within this very large resort before. In hindsight, I would have likely tried to get a condo or into another property on the resort. The other properties are quite nice and I have always enjoyed them. read more

Shuttle service.
Old, lack of service.
The Picture that we were shown as the hotel turned out to be where you check in, not where we stayed. the Hotel we stayed at was old, in desperate need of updates, and smelled of mold. The restaurant on site had poor service and the food wasn't good.

Convenience of having everything we needed close by.
There's nothing we didn't like.
We arrived and checking in was so easy. We got into our room and it was comfortable and clean. The restaurants were just outside our doorstep. It was a romantic get away and since it rained the whole weekend, our studio room was perfect. We're planning a Summer trip with our children. Absolutely loved it!

Nice surroundings.
Not close to the beach.
Low quality not even close to a 2 star hotel.
