Huge room with an awesome decorating scheme!
Had to go through the casino to get to the elevators to the room.

The restaurant.
It's a worn out dump!

The Sand's is a comp[lete piece of crap! What a tired, worn out dump. It should have been remodeled years ago.

Large room with nice furnishings.
Trouble controlling the temperature.

Hotel located in a casino, which is fine if that is what you want.

The front desk staff were extremely helpful.
The beds were hard, rooms dark.

We had 5 small children and there was no way to get them to the rooms or restaurant without taking them through the casino. That was difficult for us and them. The parking was convenient, as was the restaurant, except that you had to go outside in the blustery wind to get to the restaurant without going through the casino.

The room was fairly clean.
We were placed adjacent to an elevator - very noisy.

The room was pretty clean. However, we were placed right next to the elevator, although there were a lot of empty rooms available! The Casino was not a pleasant place. Lot of smoke. They started pushing the Steak Buffet the moment we got on the shuttle to the hotel. We gave it a try and it was deplorable! I'm not sure what kind of meat they were serving but it didn't taste like beef. The buffet portion was 6 or 7 different styles of potatoes. There was a disgusting salad bar and one vegetable offered, which was the frozen mixed veggies. All other eateries in the building were too dirty to even try, except for Mel's. We had good breakfasts there

I thought the hotel was clean, great customer service, and a great location close to downtown Reno.
Didn't have enough signs to tell you where things werer located.

For a decent price, and clean hotel right near downtown Reno, this maybe the place for you.

Casino on New years Eve.
The beds hurt to sleep on. I could not sleep because the beds were so bad.

This hotel is a bit out of the way from the main attractions in Reno. Its an ok hotel except for the beds. I was so uncomfortable that I literally did not sleep at all. I was completely exhausted the next day and sore from trying to sleep on a hard bed. I think the floor would have been more comfortable.
