The room was very clean.
Parking was
no deal!

Room was clean and large. No fan in the bathroom so steam was an issue. No fan on air conditioner so cheesy-music and noise from pool area could be heard well after bed time. To help the kind staff brought up a portable fan but it was old and falling apart with no knob and rattled all night!

wifi not free, ridiculous parking.

Everything about this hotel was great, except for the non-free Wi-Fi and ridiculous parking arrangement the hotel has with Iowa City. Staff gave confusing directions about parking arrangement. Why is Wi-Fi not free at a high-end hotel?

Grand Opening party was absolutely fantastic!
You have to pay for parking and Internet (other than lobby)

At this expensive of a hotel, I feel like you should not have to pay for parking or phone access or Internet access in your room. But the beds were great and the service and helpfulness of the staff was really excellent.

Great beds and nice room furnishings.
Parking not included, nor is internet access. No refrigerators in rooms.

Pretty much what I expected from a Sheraton, other than parking was not complimentary ($11), and internet access is $10 extra per day. The room was very nice, although housekeeping had not properly cleaned the previous guest's beard entirely from the rim of the sink. Hotel staff was very good, and I was pleased for what I paid on Priceline.

The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was nice and had extras that I liked.
For a hotel at this level there should have at least been a continental breakfast - area was too loud until 3 a.m.

This hotel is nice, but is located in the middle of downtown Iowa City next to all the college bars, so the noise level on a weeknight was very loud until all hours of the morning. The parking is ridiculous as there is no street parking without a meter and the parking garage is a separate price per hour! The front circle drive was under construction and it was difficult to access the entrance by car. The room was very nice and comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly and wanted to make sure all our questions were answered and situations taken care of. I was disappointed that there wasn't even a muffin or something offered to guests for breakfast, but a $12.00 buffet in the restaurant instead. Even motel 6 has free coffee ready in the morning! read more
