Parking surcharge.

The public facilities were good. The view of the bay wasn't that great compared to other resorts I stayed at that area and the hotel room was such a let-down. It's just very basic, not luxurious at all.

Great location near Kona and we did not feel trap in our resort.

Clean rooms, great pool and quiet hotel. Near Kona which made it very easy for dining, shopping, and renting scuba equipment. In other words, we had a great hotel but did not feel trap inside it.

Manta Rays.
Musty, black mold on wall in first room, problem with safe in second room.

Though recently renovated, the workmanship is sloppy. Carpet is jagged and does not meet the tiling of the bathroom area. The location leaves a lot to be desired, as it is south of many of the good beaches and dining alternatives. The VOG (caused by the volcano) created cloud cover daily after at 11 am limiting pool time. Though kids don't mind.

For a 4 star resort -- I must say I'm not impressed with the Sheraton Keaouhe Bay at all! It is more like a 3 star hotel. The room is borderline old and is in need of renovation. Husband and I tried the in room coffee maker for 4 days in a row and each time the coffee comes out tasting like dirt!? Perhaps it's because the coffee was way too old and they didn't get new packages.

Excellent landscaping.
The interior is dated and in need of re-furnishing.

Overall a decent hotel. The grounds are very well maintained, but the interior is dated and could use could a good cleaning.

The lobby, the pool, the friendliness of the staff.
The concierge wasn't that helpful, but the pool man was!

Beautiful location, but you need a car to get around the island. Not close to the town, but a shopping mall was about a mile away. Very quiet, very helpful staff. I would definitely go back.

The setting was fantastic! Beautiful grounds and facilities.
Housekeeping was slow. Our room wasn't cleaned until the afternoon a few times.

This is a beautiful hotel! The pool is amazing and poolside service was really good. The grounds are beautiful. It was very relaxing to walk around and take in the scenery. It's off the beaten path but close enough to many things if you have a car. They also have a shuttle that makes the rounds to the shopping centre and surrounding area. It is very family friendly but there are enough quiet areas if you are traveling without children. The luau is amazing and definitely worth doing. I would definitely stay here again. read more
