Location for sports complex is wonderful - staff was very friendly! Parking was free and easy!

The hotel over all was nice!
A significant amount of money was stolen out of my room!
Hotel and most of staff was friendly, but as far as security when it came to my room they need to put safes in your room or at least offer the use of the hotel safe to guard your valuables!

Price of room and proximity to Manhattan. Free shuttle service to/from train station.
It is isolated from other restaurants. Rooms need updating. Our carpet was stained.
Nice hotel. Would stay there again. 15 minutes train ride to NYC. Rooms need to be updated though. Carpet was very unclean and stained, dark hallways, very few plug outlets. Overall good though.

The hotel is a 5 - 10 minute ride from the train station. Though they tell you they have free shuttle service to the station, it runs every hour in the morning after 9. So if you have to be in NYC before that, you have to take a cab to the station. I was told the pick up from the station back to the hotel is every half an hour after 4:30 pm. I ended up waiting for 90 minutes and has to take a cab back that cost me 20 dollars.
The cab driver told me this happens quite often and a lot of his passengers have had similar problems.
The hotel staff is not very pleasant to begin with.
If you stay there, take your own car and you can park at the train station for $10 for the entire day.
The good thing is that it is one station away from NY Penn station and there is a train to and from NYC every 10 minutes. read more
