Guests at this "huge" Waikiki "Hawaii-meets–Vegas" high-rise are divided over whether it's a "bustling, fun place" or an "overcrowded, hectic" behemoth; devotees like the "renovated rooms", "gorgeous views", cool interactive surf simulator, shops that "entice you to max out your credit card" and "interesting" restaurants (including the new oceanfront RumFire), but others can't overlook the "convention mobs."

Fantastic Location! Rooms were large, updated and clean.
Construction! Totally inconvenient and it is hard to relax with all the noise and rerouting. Not enough front desk personnel.

This was a great hotel! The rooms were large, updated and clean. It is really large so be prepared for lots of people. The hotel is beautiful except there is a lot of construction which is really inconvenient and distracting. The new adult pool is an absolute must as there were tons of families in the main pool. We had a great stay overall and would quickly stay again for the price we paid through Priceline! read more

Great location by the beach.
Construction!

Fantastic location. Comfortable rooms. Large hotel with lots of guests however it did not detract from our enjoyment of the hotel. Great pools. Still had construction in the lobby which was a little annoying but I would definitely stay there again despite this.
