Spacious rooms for the price. The clerk was quick in helping us with a problem that occurred.
Housekeeping. When we checked in, the room we were assigned to was not cleaned after the person before us had used it.

Good hotel for the price. You cant expect 5 star service at an economy price, yet I would have expected that the room that was being assigned to a client should have been checked to make sure it was clean prior to it's further occupancy. The staff was quick to remedy the situation and were very courteous, though. Nice sized rooms as well.

Smelled smoky. Old interior. Needs to be overhauled on inside.

Shabby interior but clean. Smelled smoky, which was not appreciated by group. Continental breakfast was meager, but it existed and was neatly presented and appeared clean and sanitary. Wouldn't stay there again but it was not awful.

Sheets had hairs on them when turned down. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. AC leaked all over the carpet and soaked it and it began to smell. Long lines for 1 waffle machine in the morning. My son had to go get us towels because we had used them to soak up water on floor from
AC and then we left for the day. I guess they assumed that was all we needed and did not clean our room. We had to take all the wet towels down to laundry ourselves that night. read more

Liked the luggage carts available.
Would have liked a freezer in the fridge.

I found nothing to complain about in this hotel. It suited our purposes and budget, with no unpleasant surprises. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The deluxe continental breakfast was very good and plentiful.
The room was not cleaned well or not at all.

Good and plentiful continental breakfast. We had to request that the bathroom floor be washed as it was soiled and sticky. It did not look like the room was cleaned, only new towels were left.

The staff went the extra mile for us. Very friendly and super helpful.
The teeny tiny swimming pool.

Perfect location to get to all the attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice and quiet and a continental breakfast worth getting up for! Would recommend to everyone and will definitely stay there on my next trip to Charleston!
