Description of St Martins Lane, A Morgans Original
Designed by renowned French designer, Philippe Starck, SML captures the energy, fun and color of covent garden in St. Marins Lane. The revolving doors at SML take you from the busy streets of London and draw you into a theatrical atmosphere creating lobby socializing at it's finest. SML hosts world acclaimed Asia de Cuba and the highly dramatic Light Bar. Public areas are a total contrast to our very simple and serene "white" rooms with floor to ceiling windows and interactive lighting with ambient control. The staff were very friendly and nice.
The location was not great for teenagers who like to shop.

Great place to stay if you are into the theatre district.

The location was excellent for a tourist.
The temperature control in the hotel room. Could not get the room cool enough.

The location of the hotel is excellent for main sight-seeing attractions. The hotel is trendy and the staff are friendly. Our hotel room was not spacious but the bathroom was nice and the water pressure was great. However, we had temperature control issues which made it difficult to sleep well (along with the not so comfortable mattress). The room was very warm (at the lowest air condition setting) and much warmer than the hotel hallway or outdoors. We weren't sure if it was an air condition issue and notified the front desk. They were supposed to send someone up to check on it but no one came that night. If someone came the next day to try and resolve the issue, then we were not notified nor did we notice much difference in temperature. Overall, I would not consider my experience at this hotel to be wonderful but it wasn't so horrible either. I would not consider this hotel a five star hotel. read more

Bellhops friendly and helpful.
Over rated - too much flash, no substance.

This is not a 5 star hotel, and not suitable for the business traveler. Its location is convenient to the theater district, and is suitable for those needing a room for the night. Rooms are small, closets small. Internet connection an extra 19 British Pounds a night. The bar/lounge is positioned as a club, and only opened at 7 PM. Terrible service - no bartender at the bar; waitress went to kitchen bar service for drinks and it took forever. Loud industrial disco music - attempt to be trendy, but just annoying. Maybe okay for the 20 year olds, but to experienced travelers a joke. I would not stay here again, and would not recommend it. read more

very quiet!

A fantastic hotel in a good location but I would not give it a 5 star luxury rating! It was definitely a 4 star however.

Location.
Horrible bed.

Very modern, cool hotel. The location is absolutely perfect, the staff was very friendly. Had a few little problems in our room and the beds are like concrete. Would stay here again.

Good location, good concept but never 5 star!
Cheap furniture! Slightly dirty, bed only adequate.

Funky, concept hotel that if one is in star property and pales in comparison to real 5 star hotels in London. Bad bed, slightly dirty appearance.
