It was convenient to major roads, shopping, and restauarants.
Poor lighting in parking lot at night/exterior doors difficult to open with key at night.

Everyone at the front desk was very nice. They went out of their way to make sure it was a good experience.
The first one they tried to put me in was still being cleaned.

The first room they tried to put me in was still being cleaned and the second one didn't have a TV. When I called to front office to let them know (so they didn't think I stole it) no one answered. The next morning the manager offered to comp one night of my stay. All and all, the staff was very nice and friendly and I felt safe.

It had a kitchen and was roomy.
It stunk real bad didn't feel safe.

This hotel smelled and the bed was too soft and there where some pretty bad dealings going on in the parking lot. I would never stay there again even if it was free.

This hotel was convenient to UAB Hospital.
The heat did not work in the first room. We asked for another coffee pot and did not receive one until the next day.

The hotel was convenient to the hospital, but the service was terrible. After we had unpacked everything, we realized that the heater did not work properly. We had to pack up and move to a different room. In this other room, the coffee pot did not have the part that holds the filter. We notified the staff of the problem and we did not receive another coffee pot until the next morning. Also, if a hotel has more than one floor, there should be an elevator. I had a knee injury and the stairs made it worse. read more

The location.
Lack of internet access was a killer.

It was an extended stay hotel, just not what I was expecting, but it was fine for a night.

The employees are really nice and the location was excellent.
The bed was kind lumpy and it may be time for new mattresses.

My overall experience at the hotel was a good one but they should really considered new mattresses and check the knobs on the A/C and heat in room 112.

Location and price.
Nonheated pool.

I will stay at this hotel again when my business takes me to Birmingham Alabama. It is close to freeway access and dinning/shopping.

Space of room.
No soaps, shampoos, conditioners, not enough towels upon arrival.

It was close to our desired location. Staff was friendly enough. Room size was great included a kitchen pool was very small.

Kitchen, comfortable bed.
Phone didn't work to the front desk, etc. No shampoo/conditioner, no coffee cups.

It was great for an overnight stay but was lacking in the smaller details of what you'd receive in better hotels. The outside looked great, but the inside was definitely economy-type. It was comfortable.

Cheap.

There were roaches. The sheets were full of holes. The lady at the desk was rude and incompetent. We got what we expected.
