Super 8 Motel - De Soto

The hotel was a disappointment. Management acted like they didn't understand English when I complained that our room had not been cleaned. The continental breakfast was terrible and there was not enough seating for the guests. I will not stay at this hotel again. Our room never did get cleaned even after we complained.

accommodating.

We were going to a concert. The staff at the hotel wanted to charge us extra for a third person. The room was non smoking and smelled like a smoking room; the mattresses were old and very uncomfortable; the shower has mold and on the clean floor in the bathroom I found a dead bug. I sure did not want to spend more hours than I did.

We were able to get in and out very easily, staff was very nice. Right off the interstate but very quiet.

Great location great price would recommend to anyone staying in Lawrence area.

I thought that "service dogs" were allowed at hotels.

We were attending a concert in Bonner springs, about 15 miles away. This hotel was about half the price of those in Bonner springs, so for the savings, it was worth it. I commented earlier that the common areas weren't so clean, but our room was fine. Perhaps the common areas had been littered by people who had just arrived.

The hotel perfectly met our needs for a one night stay while seeing a concert. It was clean and quiet and seemed to be in a safe area.

I didn't expect such amenities! I had a fridge, microwave, hair dryer, iron, ironing board and Wi-Fi in my room. Everything was neat and clean. The staff was very nice.
