Super 8 Motel Fredericksburg/South

Not my favorite but adequate to rest for 1 night in transit.

The rooms were nicer than I expected for the price, and quite clean. The staff was friendly. The heater was noisy and cycled on and off. Difficult to sleep with other travelers and the parking lot just outside the door.

The breakfast was not what I have experienced at other Super 8 hotels. It left me a little disappointed. Maybe that is why it was cheaper than other Super 8.

Super 8 was super great! A lot nicer than I had expected. Very clean and very spacious; friendly staff. Close to restaurants and stores, right off of 95 South. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Bathroom light fixture was hanging by the wires. The bed was overly springy. The hot water was scalding hot! I was surrounded by construction workers and men loudly discussing 'who was going to pick up the beer' while hanging off the balcony and learing at everyone passing by. I was a woman traveling with a small child, alone. I was not at ease the entire night as the other patrons were keeping the walkways busy talking and shouting out at passersby. We got there real late and we called them earlier and told them about it. They were very nice about it. The place was clean. However, we did not use any of the stuff in the room besides sleeping overnight so doesnt know much about it. The bed was a little hard but comfortable. we drove for a long time that we got up really close to checkout time and they called and told us or remind us (depends on how you would take it I guess). Nothing complicated happened which means nothing was wrong or special either. Really good enough for the price and location. read more

The parking was bad, the room was crowded so you could not even sit at the table. One of the chairs was stuck behind the table which made it difficult to use the air/heat. The bed was old and worn out. The coffee was terrible.

I thought the price was really great and the service I received was definitely top notch. There were lots of sirens but considering the price, service and comfort I received, the sacrifice of a few sirens was worth it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

The parking lot is small, but there were always enough spaces. It is close to everything including fast food and casual dining restaurants, shopping centers, movie theater, bowling alley, Wal-mart Supercenter, target, Washington D.C. And Richmond. When I am in the area again, I will gladly stay again. Since they have the best rates in town and fill up quickly, make reservations early. read more

The motel was centrally located, close to restaurants and shopping. The room was quiet, no traffic noise or noise from other rooms. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable. I would stay there again.
