Super 8 Motel - Harrisonburg

This hotel was great. The staff was incredibly friendly and the room was very clean; two things that are not always easy to find right off of I-81. The hotel is the closest hotel to the interstate in south Harrisonburg. The rooms are a little outdated, but who cares? It's not like you're living there! But in addition to the cable and A/C, the rooms also have fridges, freezers, and microwaves! There's also a 24 hour diner literally across the street for evening or early morning dining. Overall not a great impression. The interior door safety lock was broken with one part missing so it could not function. The particle board sink counter had expanded in places, floor tiles in bath were broken and loose. Wooden furniture was worn and rough edged in places. Mostly just plain old fashioned lack of maintenance at this Super 8 hotel which has me wondering was was so super about it. read more

There is really nothing terribly wrong with this hotel, other than; I have stayed in a lot better for a lot less. It's a very old hotel that is right across the street from a truck stop so it's not the quietest place for sure.

I recommend Super 8 to anybody I talk to. Wish i could say the same about priceline. Don't false advertise.

Hotel was great for the money.

Overall it was ok for what I paid and the fact that I was alone. You and super 8 need to get together one of you owes me 30.00 bucks they charged me 15.00 more per night than I signed up for through your service that alone will keep me from recommending either of you.

All around a very nice place to stay.
