Super 8 Motel - Osage Beach

You get what you pay for. It was cheap and pretty much met my expectations.

The hotel could have been so much better if they had taken the time to see to the little things like removing the carpet in the elevator and replacing with tile or linoleum, recaulking around the bathtub etc.

Elevator smelled like someone had urinated in it as well as the hot tub. Pool was not clean and.

While the hotel was easy to find and accessible, in my opinion it wasn't as up to par as other motels I've stayed in within the same chain. The furnishing was old and rather worn, and the bathroom needed additional attention before I was willing to shower. The drapes did not close all the way, leaving me feel a bit exposed to the parking lot (there was a car parked right in front of my window). Had called for directions after booking and was given wrong directions, then when lost, called again and they didn't speak English well enough to give directions. Breakfast had the milk sitting out in a carafe, so it did not stay cold, had a tub of butter sitting out for the waffles with a communal knife in it. Will not stay or recommend this motel again.

Overall a nice place if you just need a place to sleep for a night or two. Good location, close to restaurants and shopping. Disappointed as there was no lounge chair in either room as advertised. That was one of the deciding factors in choosing this hotel.
