Super 8 Prestonsburg

I have a Super 8 in my town and it is far better than this. If i were to go to Prestenburg again I would look for a different hotel. For being a new looking facility on the outside it was not good in the insides. It has possibilities maybe just better help.

The hotel is not a 5 star hotel, but the personnel there is. It is a little dated but improvements are being made to bring it to a higher standard. It could be a little more business friendly as while I was on vacation I did have business to conduct while I was there and needed access to a printer but none was available. A small computer work station is desirable as my wife and mother-in-law slept a lot more than I. read more

Shower was dirty with black mold, but admittedly in areas hard to clean. Still needs attention. If not cleanable then should be replaced. The shower needed repair and was screeching due to a faulty tub/shower control.

Upon Arrival one notices the property is a little cramped with a small Strip Mall on the East side, parking is very limited. Large trucks were occupying the rear and the side parking area, which made it seem even smaller. Hotel is clean and seems to be maintained, friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was basic, on the skimpy side. Any more would not be much of a value! Two other hotels within a 1/2 mile a little more expensive, but perhaps a better experience, if you were staying more than one night. read more

Hotel was convient for us, clean, friendly staff and in a good location. Do with it would have had a pool.
