The lobby was very inviting, and the room was a comfortable place away from home.
The location is a bit out of the way from subway lines, but easily remedied if you know bus routes.

The beds were comfortable.
Parking fees and pool fees could've been free for the price for guests.
The rooms were clean and it was a nice establishment. To have to pay $52 a night to park, when you are a guest, is ridiculous and then have to pay $15 a person to use the pool, when you are a guest, is ridiculous and the pool was a joke. It was like swimming in the kiddie pool, it was only 4 feet deep and wasn't very big. I think if you pay for a room at there prices you should receive those accommodations! read more

Price and location.
Checking in they don't tell you everything.
When I checked in with my wife they said all they had was a room with 2 double beds but for another 50 bucks. I could upgrade to a room with a king size beds. I told them no thanks and then asked if the hotel was full. The girl said the hotel was completely sold out. This made no sense after trying to upgrade me for the right price.

It is beautiful, excellent location to all the down town attractions, it is right on Lake Michigan with stunning views from some of the rooms.
There were elevator issues. It seems some people got trapped in an elevator when only left one operating elevator for over 40+ floors of rooms.
Swissotel is one of the top places in Chicago area to stay. I would and have recommended this hotel to my friends and family and will go back myself as well.

Location.
Parking fees, wait for elevator, two bath towels.
Walking in the hotel was nice. Parking is very expensive and the valet refused to tell me where I could find other parking. In a room with a two full size beds, they only gave two bath towels. Not good for a family of four. The wait for the elevator was over 20 minutes. Not acceptable. The ice machine on my floor was broken and I had to ride the elevator up three floors to find another one because the door handle on the staircase was broken. My view was of an office building. I could see in their building, which meant they could also see into my hotel room. Not good for privacy. read more

Great location with wonderful views of downtown and Lake Michigan.
Elevator service was very slow especially at check-out time.
Overall this is an excellent hotel. The hotel lobby is warm and inviting and decorated in a modern mix of jazzy carpet, dark woods and elegant marble tile. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was a double queen size bed room, and the bathroom had a tub and separate shower. The beds were comfortable and had lots of extra pillows. Everything was extremely clean and in new condition. read more
