Nice hotel, but area location was questionable, didn't seem safe to walk places. Entrance was not easily accessible.

The bath/shower nozzle need repair. Only hot water, or only cold water.

Beautiful old hotel that needs some attention very soon. Nice bar & dinning room.

The lobby was historic and beautiful. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room windows speckled/dirty on the outside. Hotel is in a run-down / unsafe area of city.

This hotel has an historic interior with beautiful architectural touches but it is located in a tired and apparently unsafe area of the city. We reserved it through a price bidding web site that did not allow us to know the name until the booking was charged. As a result, it was not close to anything we wanted to visit (i.e. PA Dutch country). However, parking was easy, convenient, and affordable ($2 per night) in the garage adjacent to the hotel. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room needed some updating and the windows were dirty. read more
