Location
Even though it was historic, it should be upgraded and refreshed.

Beautiful, graceful hotel that has been gently restored.
Quiet, luxurious, gently restored to an authentic luster, the Adolphus was a pleasure from beginning to end.

Loved all the antique furniture.
Me and my husband and another couple stayed one night here and I wish we could have stayed longer! Everything was very nice.

It is beautifully kept!
Bed linens.
The Adolphus is lovely; however, the bed linens are not up to par for a four star. The mattress pad becomes undone if you so much as roll over, then your bed feels lumpy and uncomfortable. It's definitely time to update!

Location.
Upscale. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Clean throughout. Convenient transportation. Staff was ready to assist when needed for directions and suggestions for off premise dining options. In-house dining was superb.

Very tired, outdated, stain on shower curtain, bed spread, TV old.
I was very surprised this hotel has not been updated given the competition nearby. The hotel rooms need to be updated badly. Stains on carpet, curtains frayed, stain on shower curtain and comforter. Old fixtures, TV was very grainy while watching. No ice available, refrigerator not cold.

Very quaint.
Parking fee too high.
Excellent service. Very clean. Felt cozy. $24 for parking is too much when you tip everytime your car is brought to you.

Friendly wait staff.
Dirty room/furniture; strong musty odor; old and run down.
This hotel may have been grand fifty years ago but the queen sure wouldn't stay here now. Room was dirty, hair in sink, ratty pillows under case, dusty, stained lampshades, toilette not flushing; strong musty odor; horrible coffee and tea.
