Quirky hotel unlike any I have ever stayed at.
Minimal design, modern look, and not cushy or elegant.
This hotel is a bit farther out of downtown Dallas than I would like, hard to call it downtown Dallas. The look of the hotel is very boutique / modern set in an old building. Bed was nice, bathroom was tiny and outdated. Quirky place.

Staff was friendly and very helpful.
Parking was not convenient and did not feel totally safe.
View was good. Rooms were clean. Linens and towels were clean. WiFi did not connect but was offered and provided with a cable to access internet. If the room was equipped with a refrigerator and some snack foods were made available at the hotel that would have made the stay a bit more pleasant.

The charm of the buildings and grounds - very nice!
No furniture in the room except one hardback chair - only one bed.
The staff on the telephone were extremely friendly, but the gentleman who worked the check-in desk was not very friendly at all. I don't think he even smiled once. The room was very bare, one hard backed chair and one bed. There was no tub, only a shower. The grounds, pool and buildings were very nice to look at. I think it would be good for a romantic get-a-way. The prices on food were very reasonable, but we did not eat. Everything was very clean. At the pool there is a sign that says no alcohol or food can be brought in except what you buy from them. read more

The only positive is that the staff is friendly.
This hotel is not in a good location and definitely not 3 star.
This time I tried to have an open mind and actually unloaded the luggage and carried it up the stairs (no elevator) to the room. We walked in, turned around with our luggage and left. The room was not clean, the bathroom was filthy, and there was a tiny bed in the middle of the floor. This hotel is also not in downtown Dallas. The neighborhood did not look good and if you don't want to valet, you have to park in the street. We were assured that it is monitored by security 24 hours per day. The staff was friendly but we will never stay at this hotel! read more

I loved the architecture and the updated style of the old buildings.
I had no complaints.
Originally a motor court built in 1947, Hotel Belmont is a cross between Art Deco and Mediterranean styling. The landscaping is beautiful. There is a spectacular view of the Dallas skyline from the pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a very pleasant experience.

Living space/common area was comfortable.
Musty odor, no space around the sink, bad view -construction outside the room.
We upgraded because we wanted a connecting room. We liked the common living area and the large screen TV. We bumped into the platform beds every time we walked around. The blankets has way too much texture that it was uncomfortable. No storage drawers in the bedroom. Our room was right next to a high voltage power source. Outside the windows of both our rooms, there was overgrown grass and construction; very scary to open the window. This hotel did not meet our expectations. read more

The room, the ease of upgrade, top notch restaurant and wonderful staff. The view was outstanding.
Exceptional hotel, it was very neat and clean. A simply beautiful location in and out, for anyone. The pool area was clean and just simply stated, beautiful. Easy access to anywhere in Dallas and interstates.

It was quiet.
Stark furnishings, no wireless internet, one bedside table & lamp. One chair.
The room was too bare. I understand minimalist, but this was too minimal to be comfortable. One bed stand with a lamp. One chair, and I'm not talking easy chair. The chair was like something you'd find in a waiting room. There was no coffee in the room. I was told that I could get coffee in the bar in the morning, the pot was empty at 7:00 am. I had to walk downstairs to get ice! There was no information in the room to find these things out; only a room service menu. The room was clean despite the circa 1950 bathtub & tile. read more

I loved that it didn't fit the mold of a chain hotel.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Clean, bright, friendly and unusual is the Belmont Hotel. Situated high on a cliff, white stucco and clean modern hotel rooms - you couldn't beat this place if you wanted to see the real Dallas, especially from the pool that offered a skyline view of Dallas' downtown.
