The location of the hotel is very accessible to DC monuments, museums and attractions.
Room accommodations and amenities could be upgraded. Only a few TV channels worked and no comfortable chair in room to lounge.

In general The Churchill is a nice hotel but not really upscale as other hotels. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. I also like the location with restaurants and attractions close by. Free on the street parking on weekends is also a bonus. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

It's rooms are quiet and comfortable - great beds.
Expensive parking. No printout of charges because of
Priceline.

This is the second time we've stayed at the Churchill through Priceline. We love the Dupont area - lot's of interesting shops and restaurants and beautiful and historic surroundings. The hotel has big thick walls and high ceilings in the rooms and is quiet and very comfortable.

Historic ambiance in a historic city - were given a free upgrade to a junior suite which included a refrigerator and dining area which helped us save.
Historic can mean old - some upgrades have been done, some still pending.

The Churchill has historic and multi-cultural ambiance. The staff was helpful, the beds were comfortable. It has been updated, but the age of this historic building is noticeable in the floors and elevators. Views are not historic. There is no pool on those hot, humid DC summer days.

Historic, charming.
Average amenities.

The Churchill is a great location and a wonderful historic building. Stay here if you are not planning to spend a lot of time in your room.

The helpfulness of the staff was great and the cleaning service was amazing. Great hotel in a safe neighborhood 4 blocks from Metro.
A couple of the staff members did not know their way around DC. Ask the bellmen for directions and information.

This hotel is great for all travelers. Though there is no pool, we still had a wonderful time even with small children. For only $20 more per night we upgraded to a Junior Suite. The hotel is clean and a great historic hotel. The rooms were extremely clean and the mini fridge was great. Elevators were fast and room service was delicious.

Clean, decent sized rooms, good bedding.
Thin walls.

Decent hotel. Clean. A little further away from Dupont Circle and the Metro station than I had wanted or anticipated. But if you don't mind a 10 minute walk to get to that area, then hotel is a good place to say.

Rather long uphill walk from the metro.

An elegant hotel.
