Elegant hotel, affordable on Priceline and in walking distance of Adams Morgan.

Historic hotel, great location, and was clean.
Small room, and smaller bathroom.

Nice historic hotel in the Dupont Circle area, very convenient to shops, restaurants and the metro. Embassy row area nearby, and a nice neighborhood. Since the hotel is from the turn of the 20th century the rooms are smaller than today's standard room, same goes for the bathrooms. But all and all very clean and up to date. I would stay there again.

Close to Metro, many dining options nearby.
Other guests can be heard in hallway from within room. Annoying when you're trying to sleep.

Nice big spacious room. Bathroom is small but separate vanity area is convenient when sharing a room. Staff was friendly, very accommodating and extremely helpful.

They agreed to change our room.
The first room was dreadful, elevator shaft, loading dock and maintenance rooms, all next to it.

Our first room was one of the worst we have experienced, but they agreed to switch us to a room which was fine.

Bed was very comfortable; clean room.
Bathroom was very small; curtains on window were not room darkening.

The location was ideal, near many things but far enough away to be quiet. The bathroom was too small to turn around in. The bed was so comfortable but the window coverings let light in. I moved after 3 days to an airport location, 3 star hotel and the room was actually more comfortable with free internet. Location is what you would choose this hotel for!

The old-fashioned charm.
The size of the bathroom.

I loved this hotel. My room was beautiful and had a nice view. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. While I did not dine in the hotel, the menu offered a wide variety of food at reasonable prices.
