Great price, wonderful staff, and a great restaurant.
Wished it was a little closer to the metro, but of a walk for us older types.
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. This is an older hotel so it did not have a pool, but very clean rooms and a fridge in the room. The hotel restaurant had great food at very reasonable prices.

Historic ambiance in a historic city - were given a free upgrade to a junior suite which included a refrigerator and dining area which helped us save.
Historic can mean old - some upgrades have been done, some still pending.
The Churchill has historic and multi-cultural ambiance. The staff was helpful, the beds were comfortable. It has been updated, but the age of this historic building is noticeable in the floors and elevators. Views are not historic. There is no pool on those hot, humid DC summer days.

Close to metro.
No amenities, staff was
not helpful. Room was
run down and small.
I visited the Churchill recently with my children. This hotel is not family friendly. It was really overpriced. They are trying to fool people into thinking it is upscale because it is historic. The rooms are small and when I asked for a room with two double beds they said it would be an extra twenty dollars a night for that. Also, they only have basic cable which did not cut it after walking DC for eight hours with the kids. The good part was having a refrigerator in the room and the hotel was close to a convenience store where we could buy some basics. Dupont Circle is a fun and safe place to stay, so the location is great. I would just opt for a different hotel. I have stayed at the Hilton across the street with a much better experience. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. read more

Historic grand hotel. Very good location.
Food poisoning, we believe we got from room service dessert.
The staff was genuinely nice and helpful. The room was beautiful and comfortable. I believe the dessert delivered from room service caused us food poisoning and I believe the valet broke our steering wheel. But this is my opinion and can not be proved.

Very clean and comfortable. Short walk to Metro.
Mirror too low in bathroom even for 5'5" woman. No swimming pool.
We enjoyed our stay. The location of this hotel created a different experience than our latest trip when our hotel was on Capital Hill. Really enjoyed walking the neighborhood and all the restaurants.

Friendly & helpful staff. Good, safe location.
Valet parking was necessary and costs 30 dollars/day.
Very nice overall, though parking costs an additional 30 dollars per day.

The atmosphere, and the staff.
Took 2 phone calls to get towels, no TV remote.
Beautiful place. Great location. When we checked in no towels in the bathroom. Took 2 request and 12 hours to get towels to shower. Since the room had a flat screen TV, no remote control was provided. Weird. Overall, the room was lovely, the bed comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly and had great dining suggestions.

The hotel location was very good.
Breakfast foods left a lot to be desired. Selections were very limited and the food was not good.
I consider this hotel a two star hotel. I do not feel this hotel should be listed as a three star. Accommodation is only moderate. Breakfast selections and the food were not good. However, the location was very good for my purposes.
