Service is always "top-notch" at this "grand", "historic" Colonial (a Marriott-affiliated property) built in 1931 on the grounds of the Ford Motor Company a few minutes from Downtown Detroit and "close to the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village"; while "the history is great", the restaurants "consistently good" and the staff "pleasant", unimpressed guests say the accommodations and public facilities "could use some spiffing up" (luckily, it recently completed a multimillion-dollar renovation of the main inn, two lodges and five Colonial guest homes).

Elegant atmosphere but was very comfortable.

Very beautiful, serene, touches noticeable to make our stay nicer. Everything we needed right at hand, awesome plush towels. Older hotel but so very stately and nice, would stay there again!

Food was okay, but not quite 4 star+.

Excellent hotel with a great sense of history. Very professional staff with great service. Highly recommended.

I liked the location and the atmosphere of the hotel.
Outdoor pool, but it would not stop me from staying there again.

Great hotel and atmosphere. Fitness center had a variety of different type of workout machines. Bathrooms are on the small side, but well maintained. Outdoor pool.
